  1. Bashing
So i the day starts off great. I run the savage and slayer and both are running great. savage is drinking nitro like its cool so i am gonna be limiting how much i drive it. So i head off to the lhs 2 hours away to get some new parts. I pick up a rotostart assembly for the 3.3 as well as the axial .28, some loctite, rotostart shaft, and a motor saver filter for the 3.3 I get to rollinlows work at around 430 and plan to get the truck in top top shape before he gets off at 7 so we can bash. I install the rotostart on the savage and fire it up. I start to make some passes to fine tune it and i am running with no lid (stupid) so i can make easy adjustments. Well the truck hit a rough spot i didn't see, flips, and comes down on the top. The gas tanks shatters on impact and that ends my day for the savage. Luckily that was the only damage but it still pissed me off. So i put it back in the truck and pull out the slayer. I convert it to rotostart and then notice my clutchbell is draggin. I pull the cb off and lo and behold the clutch is sitting there in 6 pieces instead of 2. I race back to the hobby shop (its 545 now) and get the integy 3 shoe conversion for the truck. I get that installed and finally get everything back together. I spend the next half hour trying to get the truck started and for some reason it just won't fire. I drain my drill battery and decide to go and grab some whataburger so i can charge the drill while i wait for 7 to get here. (its 645) I wait the next 20 minutes for whatburger to fill my simple "#1 with a coke" order and get back to rollinlows work at 5 after 7. Nobody is there so i pull out the slayer to see if it will start. It fires on the first spin!!!! I race it back and forth a little and get it running great. 720 comes and no rollinlow so i bail and head back to the house (2 hrs)

what a day

warm. fries were lukewarm and oversalted.

the coke was good.

Crappy day, but any day with R/C is a good one.

true. i love this slayer too. Some sway bar tweaking made all the difference. Its a VERY fast and fun truck. I am gonna polish the savage when i get home this weekend and i will probably start leaving it at the house. The slayer is great on fuel and is a blast to drive. and it makes GREAT power at 200F as opposed to the axial which needs 280-300 to make power.

Finally, someone who's been paying attention to my posts. :hehe:
Go for it, Grasshoppa'. :D

:D:D

Is there anyway to clean effectively without compressed air? I might just clean it up this week.

I am almost tempted to sell some of it off and buy another slayer. :whhooo:

I can't help you there, other than suggest a Swiffer and Turtle spray wax, enriched with Carnuba. :D
If you need any other advice with house dust, let me know.

are you being serious? I really want to clean up the savage. i was gonna use alot of degreaser, wd-40 and armor all

Oh great another one...:hehe:

dude it just uses WAY too much fuel. Its ridiculous. I get easily double the runtime with the slayer which has the same size fuel tank. The savage will literally put down 75cc worth of fuel in 4 or 5 50 yard sprints.

Its not gonna be a full time shelf queen but its not getting run like the slayer is.

Simple green for the really oily spots. Rinse and repeat.
When it's all really clean, spray a 50/50 mix of Armoral and water over everything. An hour later it will look better than the day you bought it.

Well for a crappy day it sounds pretty good over all to me because the whole time you were doing that, I was working and would have much rather been in your shoes any day, LOL!!!! BTW how do you like the slayer?

i never seen u at my work and i was there lol i forgot about yesterday mybad

i ran the trucks down at the end where it dead ends with the circle. I was in the parking lot at 7:02 because whataburger took forever.
Its no big deal. I don't know when i will be around again. I am working in broussard but i drive to the job site every morning. I am headed to lake arthur tomorrow. I'll let you know

What engine do you run in the savage that is so thirsty? The Axial?

I run a XTM 24.7 in mine, which is not a powerhouse, but it runs quite a while on a 125cc tank. I'd have to say longer than my aftershock with the LRP28 and a 150cc tank (I think it's 150cc). That thing likes the juice too!

yeah, its the axial .28RR i am telling you it will drain a 150cc tank in under 10 minutes easily
