ok here's the story: My brother who's ten, wanted a nitro truck immediatly after I got one and he saw it go (I can't stand that, does that in everything I do) so He went on ebay and found 1 RTR truck and a rolling chasis and the bidding was at $50 He only has fifty to spend and he thinks it will stay at fifty and he will get themn for that price. I keep telling him it will go way higher but he yells at me to shut-up snd says "no it won't!" and when he doesn't get wat he wants he gets all mad and takes it out on me! I tried every way of telling him but he just gets madder each time. :nono: Does anyone elses brother do this?

:argue: LMAO................think about it, he's 10 years old and wants to be cool like his big bro, have you maybe suggested to him that if the ebay doesn't pan out in his favor that maybe the two of you could check on this sites "for sale" forum? A friend of mine has a Nitro Rush he wants to sell, but it needs a new fuel tank, also has a few hop up parts, but he wants 250 for it.

he only has fifty bucks though. I already spent my share on a rustler, I had $150 though. and I don't think nitro rushes are the most durable trucks out there, from wat I hear. I think the rustler's the best stadium truck.

rustler .....best stadium ...... HA...HAHAHA!!! well everyones entitled to there on opionion, but the fact of the matter is the RC10gt and Losi XXXnt are the best stadium trucks out there, not "bricks"

As far as your bro dude, wehn I got my first rc car every kid in the block had a nikkon the next week, just think of it as cool that he wants to be like you!

My mom says the same thing but I hate it. I guess I'v never had experience with the RC10gt or losi b4 but the rustler (w/ hop-ups) is awesome

I'v never seen a video of either one of the two either

and can anyone tell me wat "lmk" means?

Rushes really are not that bad. I've dove one pretty fast good handling. As for rustlers electrics are good I can't really say much about nitros other than they are really not the most durable. Got_nitro sorry man its just that I havent had the best expirences with them. I took my friends when he just got it off well alittle bit shorter than a foot tall ramp and landed it perfect couldnt have goten any better on the landing. Blew the front left shock out and dislocated the exhaust coupler.

As for a good track car, Well what little I saw not very good at all. But my friend was driving it on the track and I dont really know how good of a driver he is I was 2 busy paying attention to my maxx (who was kicking MC's butt hehe). If you dont plan on racing it and jumping it.....Well actually No dont get one the thing on the street alone if you take a corner going about half throttle will roll. The one thing I can say good about it is it FAST!!

Dude should a 10 year old have a Nitro?? Honestly I don't think so. They would more than poke someone's eyes out. hehe

Thats true, Get him a electric and tell him with some hopups you could beat you.

10 yrs old? hmmmm, not quite old enough to really take care of the engine. I suggest electric. Yes there are still things that need need to be tweeked and stuff, but nothing serious. Charge & go.

Just so everyone is clear here I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud or anything I just think 10 is a little to young for nitro.

Nitro or electric, it wont matter, the $50 is already gone! try and find him something that is easier for you both to wrench on , you have to factor in that no matter what he gets, its going to break, I am also not trying to sound like a stick in the mud here either but try and be practical, what happens when the car breaks? and it will break, I would ease him into the hobby as slowly as I could, there is so much to learn about this hobby, first rule of thumb for a 10 year old would be understand that nitro cars and trucks are not toys,,, jeeeeez I am starting to sound like a parent and its scaring me, I am out of here!

poop, I didn't get my first Nitro R/C till I was 30... I'm sorry, but no 10yr old is going to handle a Nitro R/C & all the responsibility that goes along with it...

That's the truth. He'll break it and cry about the cost and I know it won't be him fixing it or buying the broken parts either:thumbdown

That's exactly wat I think, He is way too lazy to be working on engines, also way too broke. I think he would be really frustrated if something minor were to happen like a broken shock. and kornkid, I have aluminum front shocks so I think that's part of me having good experiences with it.

he don't kno notin about engines either, not even how they work. He don't kno the difference between a glow plug and an igniter, that alone says I should go nitro. all he wants is to go fast but he don't understand all the work that goes into these thing to do that.

and all he says is "your just jelous becuz I'm gona get two trucks for 50 bux" ummm no I'm just tellin' the truth.
