So, I had to get a little creative as you see.

The front grill area wasn't the exact decals for that area.I actually trimmed off the yellow corner lights as they weren't the right size or shape. I didn't want to leave that area blank, and those JC stickers were speaking to me. And there are actually 2 different deals making up that grill. The bottom was a full sticker minus the yellow. The top part was taller having more of the "hone comb" and I think was designed to go below the grill on a different body. I just trimmed it and stck it in there as the lower one left too much plastic showing for my tase.

For the side, I just guestimated where the door handles went. But I already had the Raptor stickers in place. I know that the factory Raptors don't have that there, but they were like the perfect size/shape to fill in that little nook user the window. Also I am trying to use decals from every part/brand I have into the truck. The 4x4 stickers are form my TooMod shocks. I feel like it needs something else on the sides. I have a few ideas and am open to suggestions. I also need to figure out something for the taillights as I don't have the factory decals to go there. I am hoping to find some red adhesive vinyl and just cutting them by hand.

I am not sold on the tailgate. It does look better in person. I am actually not a "Ford guy", but you gotta love the Raptor. And a lot of real Ford trucks have this style tailgate. And I couldn't leave it plain, to much empty space for my taste. I think once I get the taillights on that will help. And I think I will do some bumper stickers on the bottom portion. I acutally have an idea of a custom one to make.
The Element sticker on the rear window is self explanatory, and I have some more to go on. Just deciding on placement and exactly what I want to use. And I also have another custom one I want to make but not sure if it will go on the rear or front.

I have a whole pile of stickers, I'll get some more coming your way in the next day or two :thumbs-up:
Sounds great, thanks.

I got the better servo in last night and through the tuner card on and got it dialed in.

A few more finishing touches and it will be all set.

Going to try a lighter set of springs, the ones I have are pretty stiff.

You need to get those windows done, the yellow tape needs to go! ;)
I'm working on it
I want to get the spray from my LHS
But instead of paying shipping, id rather go there
But it's 1.25 hours away
Best case is it will be 2 more weeks
Fir now, how about this? 😁😎
I figured it was only fitting since this thing never would have happened without this place

Looking good my friend! A lot of good times are in your future with this rig, and the fact that you have built it from the ground up will make it even better :D :thumbs-up:
My buddy gave me some lighter springs to try, but, I can't find my tool kit LOL
Definitely hoping to hit some woods this week and try a little trail driving

So, I had a set back today.
My buddy let me borrow some Tamiya smoke paint for the windows.
Apparently it doesn't play nice with the other pain and ate away some of the green. And it was a little blotchy in spots

I taped off the areas around the windows and put a second coat on to try to even put the spots. I'll take a peak in the morning.

Then I'll take off that tape, tape around the windows and try to fill in the spots with more green

Bummer.

What brand was the green paint?
It was Spazz Stix. I ordered it form my LHS

https://spazstix.com/

It went on great. No complaints, I was actually really happy with how it came out.

Guess whatever they used compared to whatever Tamiya uses don't play well together

Oh yeah bro. I've been there with their products.
Had a beautiful paint job then backed it with spaz black backer because that's all I could get at my LHS. It flake or chipped everywhere, first run.

Personally, I won't ever buy Spaz again.

Good luck on correcting the paint. The pics don't look too bad.

Here's where we're at after a second coat of the Tamiya smoke. I'm pretty happy with the good parts, really disappointed with the blotches. Might be user error? Maybe the windows weren't clean enough? Maybe i didn't shake the can enough?
I'll try to tape off the windows tonight and touch up the green tomorrow. I'll runout of daylight today to tape and paint

It tends to go on blotchy. It takes many light coats and even extremely cautious spraying can end up with spots/can spit dots.

I know this has been a rough go but my first ever body was the same experience.

You learn a ton!

Some things to consider would be window trim decals if they came with the body. Another tool I have used a bunch is pin stripe tape. Helps big time on body lines or color transitions where tape maybe got a little lift or wasn't perfectly straight.

That is certainly a bummer about the paint, and I am sure pretty disappointing for you. It does happen from time to time though, even with experienced painters. Everyone has their favorite paint brands, just have to try a few and see what ones you like best, and stick with those. I personally have landed on Pro Lines water based paint, works fantastic for me. I just recently did a paint job, or should I say attempted, on a brand new body for my Mojave Grom, it was a disaster! Lots of time prepping and masking, tried Tamiya rattle cans this time instead of my usual air brush, sprayed the black and peeled off the mask, went for the gold accent color and it totally ate the black. Just tossed the body in the trash. I have been painting bodies since the late 80's, and still have a flop every now and then.

As Creepy mentioned, a great tip to clean up paint lines is the pinstriping tape. Your local automotive shop will have plenty of colors to choose from, get some 1/8" width.
