Whaddup guys,

Well the Jap tuner market is still out of control in this country. I can honestly say that dudes like myself and my buddy Sam had some of the first "ricers" in this town of Burque. In hindsight we had some great cars and did chit that should of got us killed and had a good time doing it. I owned my RX-7 long before "The Fast and the Furious". Only after said mediocre movie did everyone want me to get "neon"....lol.

In honor of the ever popular Jap "ricer" car market in America I will soon present. Good ricer, bad ricer. The problem with the Jap market in the USA is that the majority of cars are ASS IMVHO. Exhaust sounds like chit on a 4-banger but at least it adds SOME performance increase. Huge spoilers/wings, heavy and overly large chrome wheels and to many stickers are just some of the uuuhh "mods" that can make a respectable car look like chit.

I c @ least 30 "ricer" cars in any given day in my hometown and in my travels in the USA. Many look, sound and perform like crap but the rare few are a force to be reconed with on the street.

My wife got a new Camera phone with descent resolution that's more then enough for the allowable size on this forum. I'm gonna start taking pics of what I think is a phat ricer and surely plenty of pics of what I think constitutes a total POS..."WTF WHERE YOU THINKING" euro/ricer car. This will also included "low-riders" and dropped trucks of all makes and models. If your driving some gay ass dropped $40K Chevy dually in the USA...I'm gonna find your ass and post pics of your truck here for the members of RCNT to decided...."What's tight" and WHat's not.

Mods could you please move this to the general forum. I must be "not all their" from working 60 hour weeks.

Hey 30, you must have been reading my mind. I have been thinking of starting a thread called "Why The Fast and the Furious Is A Disease On Our Society". I have a digicam and have been meaning to get some pics of the lame ricers in my area. I don't have a lot because I live in a very remote backwoods area. But the thing here is that these guys are so out of touch that they will do the lamest things to try to make a ricer. I actually think there's a guy here with a wing on an Oldsmobile. And of course every kid who can find a Chevy Cavalier thinks he's 90% of the way there. I'll bust out the camera soon and join you if that's ok....

I live directly across the street from a Tuner performance shop. Alot of times I see a few USA cars trying to look & sound like tuner cars. I will be attending the Summer Slam at Englishtown, NJ on the 4th of July and I'll take some pics of the best and worst looking cars and post'em up for ya.

Let's See....2nd Gen Prelude, lol. Slow as hell, my friend had one too. Wire Wheels, The Fake ass Type R sticker, the japanese writing on the windowsmud flaps, the way his tires bow out, lol.

And heres a mustang with alot of APC stickers, found them both parked netc to each other at Best buy, look you can see the prelude to the right....

Not even V8, lol 6 cyclinder PONY!!!!

I like the astro van,except for the wire wheels.I will be showing in the Godfather Customs Mini Truckin Nationals in Nashville the 4th of July weekend.You wouldnt believe the buckets like V6 mustangs and Camaros with TYPE R stickers from Devanced Auto stuck all over them.They had a dyno at Slammin&Jammin this year,the ricers swore up and down it wasn't correct,they actually think the crome muffler and intake tube adds 100bhp.:alien:

You wanna see some ricers come to my town.There is this guy right up the street with a Grand Am. He's got GTR badges on it!!! LMAO!!! There is this other kid that comes into my work in his Ford Tempo.This thing is a real peice of work! He's got stick on exhaust pipes coming out of the sides of the car and this huge shopping cart wing with like 13 inch wire wheels on it.I'll have to keep the Digi with me at all times and snap shot of some of the cars around here.

Me and my freinds have been doing the whole tuner thing for a while now. I've got a few freinds with GSX's in the low 12's and another in the mid 11's. My other freind is running a Civic Si with a .57 trim T3/T4 and his best was a 13.2.I've been so bust helping my freind build his CRX I haven't had much time to work on my TSI.MY TSI is basically stock with a boost controller and fuel pump.My best run so far was a 13.8@101. My 40 year old neighbor just bought an Evo last month!! He's already modding it up too LOL!!!
