I have a new XMAXX, stock. Running either 5000 or 6700 lipos. Every session I have One Cogging experience. Pull transmitter no response, reset trigger then fine. Contacted Traxxas and they said it is normal as this is a “sensorless motor/esc system. Is this normal? Don’t have issues with my other Traxxas RC’s . Stock everything and with new batteries too. Thanks for your help. New signee. One year into hobby.

That's some severe cogging. Never had an RC that was quite that bad.

Welcome to the forum.
Yes I agree. Just recalibrated my Transmitter and went out. Didn’t happen this time, but I will run it again before my hope is back. I did have problems updating firmware out of the box and wonder if this threw off the calibration. 🙏🏻😬 Stressful time. Just hope I go before my ESC goes. Lol
