Anyone running these or know somone whos is , insight ect? perferable team mod or andy brown modded. I'm looking for some more info on this motor

They are good, fast motors - thats the verdict anyway. Tuning used to be an issue, but the new regular style carbs have apparently cured or at least helped that. Makes good power, very easy and trouble-free to breakin, and last long too. This is what i've heard over the board about the originals and the evo-2 motors. Haven't owned one but have done a bit of research in the past.

Might be of interest to you to note that the EVO3's are now out - it might be best to pick up the latest and greatest if your going down the CMB road.

There's been developments. It seems names have been changed from EVO-3 to EVO-04, and the lovely rally game engine with green head has dissapeared from the site.

So now theres an R and Raptor to pick from.

You can check the TWF8 reviews for more details if you haven't already.

The latest test is on the EVO3 RG I was talking about earlier, and the older reviews will have updates on long term engine use, which might help. From what I see, these are good, fast, long-lasting engines, and it's something different. :)

The evo2R should go great, these next-gen ones look the same to me anyway, in terms of porting etc. Maybe a slight change or two on the carb, seems the same. Tell us how it goes if you get it, following the crash of two of my favourite forums - the original hpiracing forums, and the original maxxtraxx forums, i've lost my cmb owning contacts.

Why i'm not around much here, i'm sticking back around at rcca/rczone forums to get my info, because theres a fair few very educated people there - and maxxtraxx is back up at www.maxxtraxxusa.com so thats my home for just messing around and helping out if needed or just being a dork otherwise. I only came here for a bit after maxxtraxx.com went down.

I still drop in every now and then to see if anything interesting pops up, but I usually here breaking info elsewhere earlier.

I'm surprised anyone noticed my jackassish absence hehe.
