When you buy a new engine does the clutch usually come equipped on the engine or do you have to buy1? I recently purchased a wasp .18 engine and i was wondering if the clutch comes on it? I ordered it from towerhobbies.

Thanks

If it comes with a flywheel, and bell housing then most likely it should come with a clutch. What is it going in. I'm looking at a Epic .18 or a Wasp .18 send me a PM and tell me what your thought are about it.

when putting a new engine, u have to use the old flywheel and clutch set up on ur new engine. new engines dont come with the clutch set up.

I could understand useing old clutch and clutch bell but what the old flywheel. For instance would a .15fe flywheel fit a .18 wasp or a .18 epic? Explain, I've yet to do a engine swap.

yes that flywheel will fit that shaft, becuase i believe it uses a collar that goes on the shaft, followed by the flywheel,t hen u tighten down the clutch nut on the flywheel. most engines are made so u can use the old flywheel and clutch setup, but there are different shafts and different shaft lengths. like the t-maxx is a short shaft and a HPI is a standard shaft. can't think of a company that uses the long shaft. TRAXXAS use to use the long shaft in the Nitro Hawk.
