choosing a clutch bell

hi guys

i want to change the gearing on my tomahawk ST.

I'm going to have to change my clutch bell as i can't find any optional spur gears for my car,

my current gearing is 14/45,

i want to get 2 clutch bells,
1 for torque
1 for speed

so i need to know what is the largest and smallest clutch bell i can go with that will work with the stock spur gear ?

( this is for a 1/8 engine XTM 24.7 )

sorry if this seems like a silly question but i dont want to spend money on something that will not fit or will just chew through spur gears

( i apologies for any miss spelt words or missing letters bad grammar i seem to be suffering with some sort of dyslexia ATM )

its been a while so i thought i would bump this as i still need some info on getting clutch bells for gearing up and down

I would say that a 17 tooth would be the max on top speed but your gonna be burning thru clutch shoes off the line if you gear it too tall for top speed. I run a 17/46 gearing on my buggy with a .28 engine. I am still getting off line good but one more tooth and i think it would be too much. I really like the 15/46 gearing better for a good balance of torque and speed.

Oh and 13/46 was stock for me and with a .21 engine. But with the .28 it was way too torquey! I'm thinking a 16/45 gearing would work for you.
