I see listing for the aluminum clutch shoes ..What are the pros and cons of them over stock shoes ?

Anyone ever use the aluminum

They last longer and grab quicker. That's the short of it.

aluminum clutch shoes? I would think that would do more damage by metal on metal then good.

Thats what I thought. I have seen some for onroad cars and wanted to find out more, but kept forgetting to ask.

Well actually with metal there are 3 standard scenarios.
Soft + hard = slow wear
Soft + Soft = high wear
Hard + hard = high wear

Since you are using aluminum which is a soft metal with a hard metal the tempered steel that the CB is made from the wear properties should be fine. I can't state anything about the performance because I have never used an aluminum clutch though.

you would think the aluminum shoe would evenutally shine up and start slipping more. if they are making and selling them as a hop-up, there must be some worth to them

either that or someone can make money on them. I have seen my share of worthless hop ups that people buy.

I am using the Hardcore Racing aluminum clutch shoes on my GS Storm pro. I have about 2 gallons of fuel on them and they work great. First off the wont melt like some plastic clutches. Ever had to try to scrape a melted clutch out of a clutch bell? It sucks. I think they engage a little quicker but thats all the performance I notice.
