I have a STS D21B on my XTM terminator. I really love this buggy, I just have had issues with the stupid clutch ever since I got it. The shoes do not grab until I am three quarters of the way on the throttle and reving insanely high then it finally starts to creep. I don't think it is trims but I could be wrong.
Link to what the clutch looks like.
Should I get a new clutch? If they make any that will fit my engine.
Thanks,
Goodgamer

This is what it looks like a bit more We have tried to adjust the "clutch nut" still doesn't help.

Sounds more like a spring issue. Spring is too tight. Where as a looser spring would release the shoes earlier

Could also be warn shoes. Can u upload a photo of the condition of your shoes?

No I can't sorry. But I have a brand new pair and a used pair that the guy who had it before me used, they do not look worn at all.

If they don't look worn then its possibly your spring. So when you at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle
It's not putting pressure on the clutch bell? If it isn't then it's the spring. If it is then it could be something else further down the line? I'm not farmiliar with that car so not sure if it has a gear box etc like the revo.

On half throttle it starts to kinda move the clutch around it just sits there and fidgets more than anything. Is there anyway I could get a after market clutch more like the ones you usually see?

If your runing the same clutch in the link, its adjustable. Have you loosend the adjustment nut to see if it helps?

Sounds like you might have a throttle lag. Have you checked out the linkages?

Regarding aftermarkets...you should check with M2C, Buku or even Werks to see if they have something that matches your specs. More mainstream and follows standard clutch tuning processes.

Remove your air filter. Turn tx/rx on. Give it throttle and see how the carb is opening in response to your throttle

Almost any 3 shoes 1/8th scale clutch/flywheel setup will work. If you’re using a starter box just be sure you get the correct diameter flywheel to work with the box.

Ok, is there any brands that I should look for?

Yeah. That is answered above. M2C, Werks, or Buku. Tell them your specs and see if they have anything.
