I didnt realize that the Clod is still being produced. It looks good :)

They made the Super Clodbuster now, which is the exact same thing, but without the Chevrolet logos.

hmmm, if I didnt have a dozen projects already sitting around here that might be interesting to look in to. :)

I just installed some aluminum oil filled shocks.

These are the upgraded shocks. I do have some mounts to attach the shocks to the links in the mail right now.

I got the suspension tuned and I am done modding it for a while.

That looks amazing @>BD. I hadn't thought of putting 2.2s on it. Makes it look like an early mega truck or a really lifted street truck.
A lot of people used to do it in the very early days of crawling.

Here is a modern take on it.

What I really would like to do is keep the 2.2 tires as I really like the look but I want to go with slightly bigger ones like these new 5.9 inch Boggers that Axial came out with less than a year ago.

I used to have 2.2 swampers that were 5.4 inches. Just too tall for my trx4 at the time so I sold them and got 1.9 general grabbers for it.

I have added a locker to the frint as well and am currently working on using an XR10 chassis to make a more serious crawler as I need one.

Great build thread. Like how you took the reader from stock to mod.

Recently been watching a lot of Trigger King MT racing on YT. Lots of Clod's in the competition. Your thread was my first close up look at one.

Cheers. 'AC'

love the clod and the bullhead

I took off the stock chassis and have been working on adapting a Gmade R1 chassis to the axles.
