Hey Guys,

My first RC project in almost 3 years just arrived on my doorstep via UPS this afternoon! This will be the first kit I have put together since my daughter was born and she will be 3 this March 17th. The last kit I built was a B44. I hope I remember how to build one! LOL It has been long enough though that I have forgotten what a pain it is to build shocks and turnbuckles! Here are a few pics. I am going to put a Novak Ballistic 8.5 trun motor paired with a Novak Havok Speed Control. I will use either a Hitec HS-5645 or HS-5925 servo for steering, I am not sure just yet. I have both sitting on the shelf in the shop. Below are a few pictures. I hope to jump into this soon!

Great chioce. I love both of mine. Can't wait to see it all finished and tearing it up.

Thanks guys! I am excited. I will take some more pics once I get started. Ahhh a build thread.....i love it!

That is super sweet man! I am not sure about the 8.5s I have a buddy that has one and all it does is run hot. That is in a lighter on-road touring car too! But I love the truck that is going to be fun.

I have tbe 8.5 running in another slash currently and it runs good. I just have to be carefull with gearing. If the 8.5 doesn't work I have a orion 10.5 I can throw in it.

Good deal Tom maybe it is just his particular one then then. I have it geared way down for him and the motor and ESC get hot. Oh well I will have to play with it some more then. Now get to building!!

NICE!! That's a sweet looking truck for sure. Can't wait to see the build.

I am hoping to at least get it started this weekend. With it being a 3 day weekend I should be able to stay up later and burn the midnight oil. There is no real rush. The track is currently under a quarter inch of ice and in need of some TLC. My father in law bought me a box grader to pull behind the 4 wheeler for christmas so I should be able to keep up with the track a bit better.
