My friend order his RC car from this website gaspowered-rccars.com for 100 buck brand new . Are this cars good or they are that cheap car u crash and can't find parts for it.

looks to me like a bunch of cheap crap you can't get parts for. I would avoid it if I were you.

its a smartech. look at it then go to excelhobby.com and look at the smartech. there the same.

Cheap P.O.S!!
think man, average .15 nitro engine of decent quality is $100 alone.
you will break this 1st run and never find parts
if ya got $100 to throw away then go nuts.

Rule of thumb, if seems too good to be true, IT IS!

Well, two more cents . . . :D . . . . most of the people who knock the Smartechs have never actually owned one, I plan on picking one of the buggies up some day just to see . . . .

An item to mention is that usually when you see Smartechs for under $150 you're ordering direct from China and the shipping is over $100. This site is advertising free shipping. So it's either a scam or straight up, if it's straight up well crap . . . even a **crappy** nitro for $100 is irresistible.

Not planning on laying down a Benjamin any time soon, got lots going on right now but if I ever do will let y'all know.

Never owned a smartech but seen enough of em at my LHS to know they suck mule ass.......too many people buy em and then try to find parts bringing in something that lookslike a nuke went off in it....I'm sure mostly operator error but I see that on the better cars and at least they are salvageable to some degree....

FROM WHAT I've SEEN, smartechs are OK. i owned one for a couple years now, and never had any problems. i replaced the motor just to make it faster, but the engine is still good. you can find almost ALL of the parts from an online store where i bought the car at.

aj not gettin on you or your ride but ...the website you posted as having most all you need had 17 items listed ...i stand with everyone else saying it would be in a persons best intrest to save a little more and go with a better known / supplied rc

it MAY be a fine ride for a basher on a budget but lack of parts & support would make life tough for a newbi ....witch would be its market audence

WRONG! not bein an ass, but ya gotta click next to go to the next list! theres a bunch of stuff. all of the stuff you need, except the motor or the body or pullstart, which is sold in a seperate part of the link.

i stand corected ...that site does have a whole lot of parts & the prices look good
does it come with a english manual or is it in chinise? ...is the manual easy to understand

FACT is, that it is a cheap buggy.. ($100) To sell a buggy that CHEAP, the parts will be made out of a cheaper material, leading to broken parts, more often. If you wish to spend MORE money, replacing broken parts MORE often, then go right ahead. Everyone is just stating their opinion, and I do believe the majority have learned from experience. One of the great things about a forum such as this, is that you can get alot of different opinions on products, to aid in your decision, unlike some bias magazine articles.. Take full advantage of the info you read... It will end up saving you money, & lots of headaches later on..
My 2 cents..

I couldn't tell you if those were Smartech or some other copy cat cheap ass knock offs. After taking a little time to go over the entire site, it looks more like aother internet scam to me. Think about it, No name brand on any of the cars, no link for tech info or manuals, no company address or location anywhere on the site, no warranty info for any of the cars. If you want to return it, you have to call their number for an RA before you can send it back plus pay a 30% restocking fee, oh and you pretty much can't have even opened the box or they wont accept it. If something is broken or missing when you get it, you have to call them w/in 3 days to report it and they will make a claim with the shipping company. All good signs of internet scam companys. Any reputable company on the web will at least post their address in the "About us" or "Contact Info" links. If anyone decides to test out this theory, please post back in 3 to 6 months and let us know if you got your order and if it was worth it.

I would just as soon go to WalMart and buy a cheap RC from them. At least I would know what I was getting and where to return it.

How sad is it when its a knock off of a smart tech? Smartechs are the biggest POS and a disgrace to the hobby if ya ask me. I have seen them at a LHS that got one in trade in, and wouldnt have gave him $20 for it.. Like I said before Smarttech is basically a wal mart Rc with a cheap poopy ass mill in it. If ya can't afford a nice new one, Id suggest getting a nice used one. It will WELL be worth the extra $$. The only thing guranteed about a smart tech, is youll get laughed off the track..
