Ok now that i got my emaxx done i need to finish my 1/8 buggy to rally conversion.
I was looking at to same setup on my emaxx but its too pricey for me at the moment.
I was wondering if there was a good cheap setup. I just got in to brushless so i havent experienced much other then the setup thats in my emaxx. Thanks

Hobbyking and hobbypartz is your friend in this situation.

I ran this on 5s in my HB buggy. Ripped.

Ok yeah $150 clams is what I'm looking to spend.
I did hear about those motors and it wasn't good news. Are they really that bad? I just want something to have fun with. Not racing at all. I would like it to be water resistance

I've had 3 Tacans, all three on 5 or 6s, running full packs and full out the entire time usually, no problems at all.

Question: I've notice on my buggies that i spin the front wheels alot. What can i do to the center diff to get more power to the rear wheels?

Fill it with thicker diff oil.

Not really, it'll really depend on what you're doing and what the terrain will be. Some of the other guys may be able to help.

Lose dirt and small jumps is what ill be using it for. Just wanted all 4 to grab the same. I've notice the front go bald befor the back.

Hobbywing ESCs are ok for the money and so are Tenshock motors but Id personally put some extra money down and go for Castle or Tekin gear. Tekin is more for racers with there sensor/sensorless dual drive mode and generally a tad more than the castle set ups that you can buy from parted out kits on ebay. Castle also has the better warranty so for bashers Castles can be really awesome. On top of a kick ass warranty they are way more programable with a castle link. just my .02

I've been thinking of taking my mamba monster system out of my emaxx and putting it on the buggy. I panic 24/7 when i ride my emaxx because the system is not waterproof. Kinda takes the fun out of the emaxx. So most likely ill swap that and find something waterproof for the emaxx. That system should move that buggy like no ones bizz :D

And i opened the center diff of the ofna to find...........well nothing! No diff oil at all.
Now its time to tare down the whole buggy.

I set my buggy up with thicker oil in the front diff to help me in the corners, i run 5-3-2 in mine i think it is, all depends on hw you want it to drive, if your just bashing around i would do 5 front, 7 center, 5 rear, use a good quality silicone and it will last longer.

Wait a min. This diff is off the lx1 and its an old buggy. I've never opened it. Would this explain why it would be empty?

They don't come with any stock.

I run 20K front, rear and center in my Ultra LX Comp, pretty happy with it on my rough/loose home track. Oil that heavy may cause understeer on a clay or hard pack track, though.
