Just wondering if anyone had any pics on how they converterted there reciver batterys to a rechargable cell. I have a savage and i burn way to many batterys on the reciver

you can get a hump pack with the proper connectors on it for the savage, no mods needed. i got mine from http://www.onlybatterypacks.com/

it will be a nice upgrade for you, rechargeable, longer run time, and more voltage to the servos.

dose it still fit in the casing ? also what kind of batterys did you use lipo ? and what is a hump pack lol sorry for all the questions

yes it still fits in the case, in the same location as the 4 cell holder you are using now. Its called a hump pack because it has 3 cells on bottom and 2 on top for a total of 5 cells in a triangle type thing. I used Nimh cells.

that is what you need. Other companies make them as well.

i wouldnt say its bad just kinda a pain to keep taking the box apart and taking the batterys out

you can use them, but with only 4 cells you dont get the same voltage to the servos. going from 4.6v to 6v makes a world of difference.

Plus, i think the standard AA battery runs somewhere around 1200mah where the battery pack is typically 1600mah. so not only do you get better voltage accross the servos, you get longer run times.
