that was my neighbors, his is a beast, huge mud tires big ole monster, he broke his even more than i do i was impressed AND jealous lol

well, I've tried like 4 motors in this thing and nothing gets me what i want I'm gonna have to just drop 3 digits on a motor apparently.
keeping in mind most of those have been rtr motors so wasn't much in the way of expectations honestly.
this holmes hobbies trail master sport wasn't it either. i think i have a traxxas motor i havent tried yet i guess ill throw it in next

Think this is my 4th or around there .
Installed a castle system
It is definitely stronger than the trail master sport I was previously using. I couldn't even drive the dang thing hardly with that motor in it. It was just too weak.

With great power comes great responsibility. It will break stuff if you ask/tell it to.

If you look in the manual,you can swap a couple tranny gears. You can go from a speed mix to a less speed more torque. Between that and gearing you can find the sweet spot. I'm pretty sure this motor and esc is 4s capable to boot, if it is you can also gear down and volt up.

got most of the stuffs in, still waiting on that 1mill diff fluid, should be here later this week. I'm so swamped at work i dont even have the time to work onn them until friday anyways lol
going to swap transmission out for the center diff, swap the center driveshafts,tinker with the shocks a bit, see if i can work something out for it

So I was printing some stuff to try to sell at BTC and decided I wanted to throw it in the cen and Basecamp as well lol
I found a hat light that I taped up as a cargo lamp

I also printed up some beefier Jack stands to hold up the weight of the cen
I only had white PLA to print with so painted them for bonus points
I also threw a spare stealth x transmission into the bed
Cause that's how we do round these parts

Yes. Larger spur, smaller pinion will gear it down.

I'm still on my stock spur. I don't think they offer different spurs so it's the same replacement. How does that pinion look? I done torture tests and not have it strip so I'm assuming the pinion changed pitch as it sharpened and devoured the spur.

i think these will allow me to swap the diff cups for diff cups my shafts will fit. can someone verify this for me before i waste another 30 bucks lol.
ordered wrong set, got em in today and i just got the same thing i alrteady have lol

What size are the balls on your dogbones? What size are the output shafts on that diff?

still trying to work out the arrma center diff.
but for now i replaced the spur gear and assembly so it will run and haul like it was before i stripped the spur.
i didnt have any grease to put on the bearings so i used marine grease. fingers crossed it works well.

the arrma project presented a new issue. i was looking for dogbones at the recomended length
but that wont work as the center diff is substantially longer then the transmission was. so I've been looking for thte wrong lengths the entire time.
while putting on the new spur i tried to see how the diff would fit. i can get it to bolt in sort of. gonna need a few spacers still, but it WILL fit sort of.... the tekin motor is just to see how it would set in place. its looking doable.

i decided to swap motors on the cen, you guys pointed out the size disparity and the tekno is down for a bit so i decided to try the motor/esc from that. the

EZRUN MAX10 140A Combo 3665SD (EZRUN MAX10 140A Combo 3665SD-2400KV)​

i also swapped out the front and rear driveshafts out for the khaos hd driveshafts, checked and my grease is still blue even after the sludge at btc,

the motor shaft is 5mm so I'm currently limited on pinions, i have a few and threw the smallest tooth count i could find 15tooth.
