well...
i finally got the hubs in
forgot hubcaps but is par for the course.
got the new tires on the new rims, glued them puppies down didnt make the worst mess, hopefully soon ill be able to order one of the applicators @WickedFog suggested so ill be able to make em look even better. but as this was my first attempt I'm not being super harsh about it. next set better be GD perfect lemme tell ya....
took her out for a test run. lasted 38 whole seconds before i broke something! I'm impressed to be honest
need to trim the body some, tore off my passenger mirror gonna have to send her to the body shop.
then i ripped around a little, just seeing if they gripped better. WAAAAY better
then i tore off the positive battery wire. good times.
I'm not allowed to drive it unless i break it *sigh*
so now the cen is DOWN AGAIN. I'm pretty busy at work this week but i think one day this week I'm gonna have to just party down and learn to solder. it APPEARS to be relatively simple. i want to practice a few times with some dead wire i have before i risk my motor.

i tried to raise the body posts. the rears were already raised to their max height, i dug around the parts box and found the stock ecto shock towers which still had the posts attached, they were almost twice as long. i could still raise it up higher if i needed to.
new problem.
the bed now sits quite a bit above the trailer hitch. no way to hook up. i may end up cutting a hole in the bed that the coupler will slide through but ill have to look.
i have the trailer on the shelf until i learn how to reinforce it,
i know I'm gonna need some aluminum angle, new tires I'm hopeful some from that janky bangood truck will work for that purpose, . I'm just not ready to start that project quite yet so the hitch isnt an issue ( till it is lol)

Glad yours is running. Mines in one piece atleast but is still down. Stock up in driveline parts.

i hear you, so i should just skip straight to the hardened versions like you linked earlier,

See? You can't even see the glue on the beads.

Lower the body back down and hack those wheel wells out. I think it will look fine if you do.

Soldering that lead back on will be easy. It's not that big of a wire gauge, so it should be pretty simple for ya. There are plenty of soldering vids out there to teach ya.

Made my first successful solder!
May not be the prettiest but it works and I got the powa again yeeet!!!

One tire hits the shocks HELLA bad
Like tire won't turn cause of the diffs and it's lame
Thinking I am looking for a set of hex extenders
I tried the set that are on the ecto and it was still a little shirt
So I need a wider set of hexes for the rears

hopefully this fixes my shock issue. weird that it only rubs on one side.

also my text looks weird..

CKQ0216 KAOS Metal Locker (Front or Rear ) Q/MT Series , DL-Series

ordered 2 diff lockers for the cen, want to make it pull better, i dont mind losing the turning radius from the closed diffs. i dont drive it at top speed very often as it gets a little squirrelly

my motor wire came off again as well. I'm guessing it was mostly my newbie soldering job. but it has me wondering thats 2 times now the positive wire has seperated from motor. is it getting so hot its melting the solder? no that would be ridiculous het for the motor to be putting out.... right? i found my temp gun ( son loves to play with it with kittens lol loses it more often than i use it so its basically HIS temp gun at this point) ill check temps on it next time i run.
it has also happened in the same location, so it could be that I'm hitting something in the neighbors yard thats catching and ripping it free.
both times its seperated has been on an uphill climb thru their grass while hauling a trailer.

also... is it normal for one side of the truck to be closer to the shocks than the other? the left rear is noticeably closer,
when i put the hex extensions on i didnt even need to put the right set on but did because i had them. been looking online and i can't find out why mines this way.
i watch a lot of videos on the cen and it doesn't seem to be that common as no one has posted anything about it that my algorithm is willing to show me.

I've been so busy lately
Have had parts sitting waiting for me to put on.
I installed the front and rear diff lockers
They were really easy to install
While I had them open I filled them full of grease

I'm still trying to figure out this lean I have going on.
I'm thinking it's the panhard mount.
I moved it over to its farthest position and it helped.
I ordered a front and rear 4 link set up for it
I'll need a few links still
I need to replace a bearing as well
No idea where to start on that hunt lol
Soon as I get some time off I'm gonna see how it crawls and pulls now
Excited as fk boiiiiiiiiiiii

the cen was on the bench today.
it wa suggested that my panhard may be whats affecting the shocks rubbing the tires, and that a 4 link would allegedly fix this.
i ordered a 4 link front with soa as well as a rear link with an extra link.
IT CAME WITH HARDWARE!!!!!!! that was a first for me not having to find stuff, was nice.
it went together super simple. wheni waas reading the directions on the website it sounded confusing but when i sat with the truck its really only one possible way to get it together so it worked out well.
no extra pieces this time. pretty stoked

so friday morning i put the gooseneck back together, get it all set up have the tekno and Old man loaded on and we drive outside and down the ramp, i get to the grass and its geting a lot of torque twist but still pulling... then smoke puffs out and i go no go no more....
i pop the body off and see smoke coming from the motor.. not good. so me being me i give it some gas... nothing. the ess speaker is still revving up but the motor is toasted not moving at all. so guess i need a new motor, might as well get a new esc while I'm at it.. pfft this will be offline for weeks grrrrrr.
that motor was struggling to do what i wanted anyways. no loss there. ittl go in the factory motor pile with the others.

i think this could be kinda strong right? i want to tow heavy loads, not go fast. my other motors are all hobbywing and i have had great experience with em

i gotta take the transmission off to take the motor off, that would leave it sitting in pieces for a few weeks on my bench which means stuff will get lost so i gotta wait to disassemble it.... but i wannaaaaaaaaaa

That ESC/Motor combo you linked is too big for your rig. HERE's the same combo but for 1/10 scale.
