Hey guys i'm new to this group and have a question. I have the CEN CT4S car that hasn't been run in 4-5 years. I broke the pull cord and the gas tank was leaking and i didn't fix it. I def left some fuel in it and didn't touch it since.
Just wonder after i buy the new pull cord and gas tank what i will have to do to get it started. Or will it even start? Don't wanna spend the money to get the parts and it never starts again.

Thanks in advance for help,
Kevin

Do a TOTAL tear down and clean. After 5 years the oils'll need replacing and things may of gone rusty. You'll need new fuel too. Check diffs, clutches, shocks and obviously the engine and glow plug. Also check TX/RX+ Servo's. people overlook these and get a nasty shock when they go out of control due to moisture damaged servos.

Thanks for the fast reply. I'll dismantle it and see what i find. New to it so might take abit.

Ninnon - What do you mean by " Also check TX/RX+ Servo's. people overlook these and get a nasty shock when they go out of control due to moisture damaged servos "?

Check the wires, battery terminals and plugs on the Radio (Transmitter or Tx) and the Receiver (Rx).
I don't think he means an electrical shock. No nasty shocks to be had by low current DC voltage.
