Would like to add a little smoker to my collection and would like to know which one of these little guys is a good buy.

Personally I wouldn't go for a nitro - they cost a lot to run, are noisy, dirty etc. I have a XTM Rage (not the fastest/most expensive thing ever) and it's great cos I can take it on holiday with me and not have to worry about spilling fuel and oil everywhere, plus everything for it (spares) are small and easy to store. Plus, an electric model doesn't need constant tuning - just a good clean & oil every so often.

The Rage is just a cheap(er) micro - there are probably a lot of faster, more expensive electric micros out there.

That's just my opinion - always had electric - always will :)

Not true. When i got my Rage (last april) the people at the LHS told me that it is a better version of the RC18, although it is cheaper, it is faster stock and the parts are updated.
