This is a word of caution on your Rx battery pack.
I could not find my 5 cell Nimh pack, so I used a standard 4 pack of AA Alkaline cells from ASDA (UK super market).
The radio would sort of work, but if you used more than one servo, particularly the steering with the brake on (high servo load) the Rx not only went into lock out, but jittered the steering servo and slamed the throttle servo one way or other.
19 out of 20 times the throttle servo went to full brake. However the failsafe was NOT set up and should have fail safed to full throttle at that time. The other 1 time out of 20 it went to WOT.
The only way to bring it back from this was to Off/On the Rx.
Cause?
The AA cells (brand new) could NOT put out enough amps to run a stalled (or braking) servo and crashed the Rx dead. As soon as one of the servo's went to full lock, it drew too much power and the Rx could not reboot so stuck like that.
So, if you have upgraded servo's (mine are Bluebird MG 12Kg Torque), DO NOT USE AA CELLS!
It was fine with my old 2S3P LiPo + BEC and... fine when I found my 5 cell NiMh pack.
