Castle sidewinder problem - please help!

Lack of juice(amps). That motor is too hot(kv rating) for nimh batteries. You may be able to tone down the punch control to smooth things out further. Lipo batteries is the propper fix.
 
Makes all the difference.....the C rating on NiMHs is much lower than lipos thats why Metalhead suggested the proper fix to be addign lipos. As a good rule of thumb try to get 30C or higher if you can.
