ok i got a duratrax nitro quake with a o.s. max rx engine on it. when i give it throttel AFTER it has benn started the throttel sticks and it is even hard for me to close it back up by hand what should i do????/

yup, take apart the carb and clean everything good. then relube it with something like after run oil.

yep......what they said & if it is still sticking afterward i would say it was defective.......write a letter to the manufacter of that engine explaining the problem and get an exchange.......arta not cost you anything or maybe 5$ for sending & receiving......

i have the same problem. when i start it, its at half throttle, doesn't close all the way and it gets stuck and is very hard to get it closed or open, is there a special cleaner i need to use?

If your still having trouble after you clean it check the linkage for binding, you might have to rotate the carb.

do i have to take the carb off before i spray carb cleaner in it or can i just hold it upside down, its the slide that is sticking

and also wat would cause it to run wide open when the carb slide is closed all the way?

i would take the carb off to clean it so you dont spray any dirt or anything into the engine.......even if you hold it upside down something can still get in there from the forse of the spray......may not be dirty though.........if it is a slide carb the (carb slide has a tiny keystock or pin on the top or bottom of the slide).........it could be worn just enough that it lets the slide twist a hair causing the sticking problem........you can check to make sure thats the problem or not by very lightly twisting the slide while you work it in & out......if it sticks when you do that, you found the problem if cleaning & oiling the carb dont do it for ya.......
