Car keeps cutting out after 10s on throttle

Hi my car keeps cutting out after about 10 seconds or so then it will let me take off again after about another 5 second or so then repeats. I'm running brushless setup on traxxas rustler 2wd with nimh batteries any ideas people???

Have you tried running a 2s lipo? It could be your nimh battery doesn't have enough juice, or is going bad causing the ESC to cut out. Also could be the ESC, I'm not familiar with Trax-ass so not sure the ESC specs etc.

sounds like esc is in lipo mode. switch that to nimh.. you could get a 2 cell lipo and use that ..

program the esc to nimh with zero voltage cut off. It's cutting off in lipo low voltage mode
