Alright this is were i must speak. Start off with my "Hick" truck....I got o fiddlesticking hardcore/death metal shows I donty listen to country, my truck is not neither jacke dup real high nor flying a huge rebel flag so hick no...a truck yes

no no no...your misinterpructing "Ricer" Ricer is someone who puts bullshit on their car to make it seem fast. I happen to like sport compacts alot more than trucks but hey, i gotta get to bashing spots.

No when I see a ricer I see someone who watched fast and the furious too much, bought a muffler and intake and maybe a wing or body kit and revs up and red lines there poop everywhere they go.

You want somethign diffrent huh? Well whats diffrent from you and the 1000000000 other fast and the furious wanna bes going in autozone/advanced/pepboys/etc and buying neon lights and shift knobs.

Speaking of hopping up car....yeah I've done it.....Had a MX-5 with plenty of suspsesion bullshit on it. I've helped work on B18C5s, helped build install a the GSX engine thats in my gallery.

You wanna be diffrent....actually make the thign fast...thats they key to not being part of the crowd, there are so many peopel out there with either cosmetic poop or just autozone bullshot ont here car claiming fast.....no....you want a fast car....throw damn turbo charger/piston/rods/have it port and polished, thats diffrent. Everyone worries too much about how their cars sounds/looks fast before making it fast.

thats why i prefer sleeper cars :)

Gotta sotry to tell you...

99 Si(mentioned earlier) were going down the raod...regular non turbo 240 comes up beside us witha big wing and grpahics.....he spots our Apex'i exhaust and come s for it, we're playing downt he high way untill we see him shift downa nd really get on it hard...he moved up about 4 inches more, lol....i looked at him, mouthed the words "Bye, Bye" and waved, anthoyn droped it into like 3rd at 75mph or something like that and just pulled off to 9,400 again, lol.

Then ofcourse like clock work, the "Ricer Flyby" came. thats when u let off ur gas and ease break, pulla logn side the other persona nd say "Good Race" or whatever. Only they always just stay into the throttle and fly by and tell their friends they beat you, lol.
 
From what i read a V6 mustang engine goes in the stock engine mounts. also the Mazda V6 goes in it too. so once this engine kicks the bucket i will be going to a V6.

humboldblazer- thats nice to know.. lol.... i like Porterhouse steaks medium with bake potato..... yummmm..

DO NOT...repeat DO NOT go Mustang 3.6......Mazda is what you should do. It might be a while depending on how you drive that car how long the engine will last. My MX-5 had 147,000 and still strong as hell for that milage, toko it to 7,000 alot too. I wasn't tryin to diss you earlier man, just trying to make you aware of what you could become. Read real engine book snad not rice magazines that focus on body kits and stuff. LEDs arent anything, save the cash and buy sweet thing, you'll thank me for it int he future, lol.
 
u didnt diss me man. lol. the LED's will make it look sweet until i get some good HP parts. next will be a muffler, whatever i decide on. oww just pulled a nose hair out....

Cold air or short ram intakes are ricey, true, but if your not turbo or s/c, you have to have them...free up the air a lil bit...you put a intake and throttle body ona nd you'll some some better throttle response for sure.
 
I don't really consider a cold air intake ricey. I've got one and can feel a small performance gain with it. It makes the car rev a lot more freely in the last 700rpm.

I know what ur talking about kwong, as i had a Weapon R intake and a bosal/brospeed header on my mx-5, a test pipe and thats all engine wise. It mounds a nice little sound too, lol. It does free up the engines revs too. I guess the rice part of intakes are those who argue over which brands are bette lol. Its a pipe and filter not much diffrence. Also those who tell me intakes add 30 wheel HP, lol. Or there is some huge diffrence between cold air intakes and short ram, like the colder air is just gonna make it go crazy much faster. YES YES i know, HP is made better with cold air but this is a huge 1:1 were talking here and listen from experince, it dont matter, lol.

Actually, I think Ram Air intakes are more for torque, while CAI are for RPM/HP...CAI do take away a little low end.
 
I had a 94' Nissan Sentra with a 1.6L, I think it had like 115hp from the factory, I went through the ricer thing before the "Fast and the Furious" was ever released, I installed

APC air intake
Pacesetter header
AEM cam gears
underdrive pullys
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
oversized injectors
NGK plugs with 8mm wires
full 2.5 inch exhaust no converter
Dynamax stainless ultraflo V8 muffler
17" ICW lightweight tuner/racing wheels
H&R racing springs
Aero Duo "Kombat" front bumper
and a 12" superbee looking wing
I also removed the rear seat,spare tire and alota other weight
there is more its just been to many years to remember all of it?

Needless to say there was a small fortune in this bucket,OK the car was kinda fast for what it was,It had 145 on the speedo and would actually do it,took several miles but it would do it. I ran it regularly at an 1/8 mile drag strip and got into street racing, The best time I ever got out of it was 10.350@69mph,Hey I was smoking alota V8 trucks and even smoked a few sick camero's and mustangs,It would tack out at about 7500rpm and would light up the Falken Z rated 17" tires like stockers.I still felt like I was in a HOT ROD go-kart.It was fun and then they became all the rage,you couldnt turn a corner without seeing a CIVIC riced out and the engine modding on them got way to outrageous for my pocket,I began loosing races and wasn't willing to spend $3000 on a supercharger or turbo to keep up,I could have went with the NOS cheap hp at the flip of a switch but at the time it was a show car/drag car/daily driver so I wasn't much on the NOS considering one lean cylinder and detonation=very bad outcome.So I sold it and havnt raced in a couple of years,I've been getting the itch again and have enough parts just about to complete a 89' S-10 smallblock,I have been accumulating parts for over 2 years,I got alota stuff to make atleast 425hp and around 400ftlbs of torque out a 350ci with

282 hydrolic roller cam

Need some coil over springs,step notch(metal make one),drop spindels and a good weekend to finish the hydro setup.
this truck is for SPL and am working on the hydros for the "Drag and Brag" compitition where you get driving 30mph and dump the suspension to introduce the frame to the asphalt to see how much sparkx you can throw,I know it sounds lame but it sure excited me at our last show. Believe it or not I still have a couple of rides not running at the moment and not worth mentioning.

sorry for the novel of a post but I love my rides and this was for "us fanatics",sorry if I stepped on your probe man wasn't my intention,I just really love cars,It runs in the family,My dad just sold a 66"chevelle SS 396 and my uncle is in a big club for 55,56,57 chevrolets that hes been in ever since I can remember.My brother has a yard full too,so I learned at an early age how to work on rides repair,maintaince,customizing pretty much anything.There is no drug that can match the feeling of people approving of my custom work,I'm pretty confident I could make one hell of a living doing it but its my #1 hobby before r/c and dont want to risk not enjoying myself anymore.

As for the probe muffler?Either of the ones you linked to would work,you really have to hear it on the vehicle before passing judgement,but all euro 4cyl. muflers are about the same? Go for the cheapest!
