Dude that never was my intent, just interesting to see how the other side lives once in a while.

Wasn't aimed at you bro. NC was uppin the ante, and it looked like it was gonna go to the next level.

I've found actually a surprising amount of people live conitions that are what I would just consider unsafe.

Our community USED to be driven be a farming economy so I would say at least 70% of our housing is rental property.

I have seen apartments turned into paint booths. I have seen trailers with plastic layed down on the floor so they could fill the rooms with dirt, and grow a "special kind of plant". Those things don't bother me too much. I can see the logic in it (sort of).

I just thought I would mention that the sheer number of people who live in houses like the one in the pics is on the rise. It would scare most to know what newnitrofan posted is becoming common place, at least in my community/city. No neighborhood here is immune either from the $500 a month rentals to the $2000 a month houses. I've seen 'em all in the condition above.

Dude, I used to open sewer manholes for survey work I used to do (please note the past tense in that statement). So no, I got a pretty strong stomach, I just don't want to have to see it if I'm not getting paid to.

Pissant I am a residential property manager this is the politically correct term for what I do...aka Apartment Manager.

Thanks Kwong I knew this would definately be a hit with someone. I was kind of sure it would wind up being at least two to three pages long as well. There is some gross crap out there in the world and I have full on seen worse.

If you watch animal planet's "animal police" you can see some crazy poop on there

They had these two puppies kept in a traveling thing for dogs. They were never let out. As a result, they had 2.5" of poop caked on the bottom

Ya know Kwong anymore I just am not surprised at some of the things I see anymore. Some crazy crap out there and after seeing the guy that shot himself I would think it would be pretty hard to make me get sick to my stomach or something. Ya never know though I'd probably throw up at some thing stupid though.

I used to do plumbing when I lived in New York, and once had the owner of an apartment building unlocking apt doors with his master key so I could isolate the source of a constantly hissing water pipe, even when no one was home. (6 apartments) ALL the tenants said they had no problem, so he decided to look for it. We found it. It was in a bathroom ceiling, a badly leaking hot water shut-off valve, running down into the bathtub. The ceiling had collapsed.
The entire apartment was 3 to 4 feet deep in garbage, with paths through it. The stench of rotting garbage was almost as bad as the stench created by the cat. A smell of ammonia that would cut your breath short.
The owner hired some laborers to empty the place, and it took 3 days to get it cleaned, and 2 dump truck loads.

Do a search on the Colyer brothers from New York City. That's another classic story. With photos. And they were millionaires.
