CHOKE!!!!!!!

Love the Yankees BUT they got what they deserved. Piss poor plays and got their heads up their asses after the 3-0 lead in the begining. Oh well! Good bye Torre

I,too, tip my hat to Boston. I love the Yankees. So I'm eternally bound to hate Boston. But they clearly outplayed NY. By far. I think NY shot their wad with 19 runs in game 3. They had nothing left.

As far as the off season goes. I say keep Torre. He's an awesome manager. They need to gut their pitching staff. Keep Mussina and Rivera and toss everyone else. None of them are worth a damn. And if Giambi is still sick, sell him, too. I guarantee you'll start to hear strong rumblings of them getting Pedro Martinez and Carlos Beltran in the off season. Tony Clark can go. Keep Olerud on first until a better one comes on the block. And for God's sake, find 4 pitchers who can actually throw the ball!!!!

Good luck, Boston. No doubt there's enough talent there to possibly break the curse. But they have one more obstacle.

Oh, and robmob, NY has sounded like they had a hairball since the first inning of Game 4...

as far as torre goes .... i think any manager could put the yankees in the post season with that team ...

i don't think the yankees choked ... i think the red sox stepped up to the challenge at hand .. also how long could the yankees keep hitting at that level ... i think they said last night that the top 4 for the yankees hit like .500 for the first 3 games ... and .160 for games 4-6 ...

it came down to pitching the last 2 games ... schilling had a great outing in game 6 and lowe got it done last night ... if brown was on it could of been a tighter game ...

i say kudos to the sox for getting there ... now i say go CARDS !!!

Veruca Salt played by Julie Dawn Cole. In your sig we have Redneck played by Wasteland and Oompa Loompa played by Error 401. :D

LOL, where is error and waste when you need them?

It was a great series. I havnt watched that much bb on tv since the diamondbacks in 01. Good luck Boston, well done. I can't wait to watch their knuckle ball pitcher again, he was awesome! Lets see if Shilling remembers how to bat (in HOUSTON i predict!!)

I guess it is too late for kharma...

Come to think of it, Sky, karma may be exactly what happened. How many games and series in the last 10 years have the yankees won? And how may were ninth inning miricles? I remember Rivera after he blew game 7 against the Dbacks in 01 saying it was ok because they had done it to everyone else so many times. Its maybe just overdue payback by the Sox...

can't forget the blown saves by kim for the d-backs in game 5 &6 that would of wrapped up the series then .... after he blew game 5 i would of sent him packing ... not many teams can have a 2nd and 3 rd chance to take the yankees down ... when you have the opportunity you have to strike on them ....

True...karma does tend to swing both ways or in this case come around...I'm just glad to not hear about the Yanks and another World Series. It will be nice to see someone else in there.

Thats right wsw. That disaster with Kim in 01 was really Bob Brenleys fault. Kim threw 60 or 70 pitches in game 4 in relief, which is a lot for a closer. So he should not have been put in game 5, and certainly not in 6 after blowing 5. Dbacks were very lucky to pull the series out after that goof.

George, could unload 10-12 players @ 15-20 million per year each and buy some Kharma.

This was a rare example of "He with the most money doesn't always win"

Mr T

No, the New York Rangers embody "He with the most money doesn't always win".
At least the Yankees are competitive. The Rangers suck, and cost a fortune.
