I currently run Traxxas Top Fuel 20% with no issues and is readily available at my LHS along with Blue Thunder and Odonnell. I like the Top Fuel but I don't like paying 30 bucks for a gallon of fuel eventhough I can afford it. I called aminhobbies to order this:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...ls-20-Ready-to-Run-Gen2-Car-Fuel-Four-Gallons

But I found out to order this case of fuel with the hazmat fee and shipping i was looking at like 155 for the order. I'm looking to use Byrons due to my experience with it and i do like a fuel with a good oil content(over 14%). Is there any way i can get this fuel to my door without being taken to the cleaners? The next closest hobby shop that carries Byrons is in Webster NY and they only carry the race version. My LHS was Hobbytown USA but the franchisee is having issues to say the least and has been closed since October of 2010. The other LHS does carry Byrons in the race formula and I asked him if he could order some of the above but he said they placed their order for like the next two months. Any advice would be awesome and thanks for your time, Steve.

No tax but with hazmat and shipping its an extra 55.12 which makes it 154.61 for the order and 38.65 per gallon.

My LHS special orders my blue thunder sport 30% for me, Its 4 gallons at $30-36 a pop, well worth it imo. My trucks all run better on this stuff then the traxxas top fuel...

Bought some at my lhs yesterday. Don't remember the brand, but it was orange. Cost me $27 bucks for a gallon. I'll take a look at the label in the morning and update this with the name.

Also, I've never heard aboout how good/bad it is, but I would imagine tower hobbies' branded fuel would be pretty cheap... since most of their stuff it.

thats what I am running at the moment but I am trying to get some trinity monster hoursepower I think I liked the tinity better honestly... A track that is maybe an hour away all they run is that trinity and thats all he will order for fuel..

I'm not sure if it's still the same, but you used to be able to buy fuel for a little over $7 a quart, in a box of 4. That was about $29 a gallon, and there was no hazmat fee on quarts, only gallons.

Thats a pretty cheaply priced fuel. But then add the 52 bucks for shipping and hazmat and that's still a bargain. I'll have to do some research into it but as of right now i'm still trying to get that byrons fuel.

According to the link that price was with tax and shipping.

Are they adding even more to the linked price?
