Ebay and Amain are all you need. I do give my local hobby store some business, but the bulk of my stuff comes from Ebay. Going to the hobby store everyday gets old real fast, and trust me you will be going. Amain ships for free and parts are a lot cheaper.

I own a firestorm and love it, key weak points were a-arms and stock brake disk, replaced with rpm arms &a woven carbon fiber brake disc traxxas puts a bad taste in my mouth when I have to flip through 20+ pages of their adds in an rc mag

Thanks, your post was adding to my feeling that I made a good choice :)

By the way, I searched for the HPI RPM A ARMS (at A MAIN) and It shows only the ones for the savage and others. I didn't see any RPM a arms for firestorm.

Theres definitely nothing wrong in going with the Firestorm. As far as I've read its as good as your average HPI kit and HPI makes great kits. The only advantage going with Traxxas would have given you is a wider availability of hop up parts and Revo is right Dont buy any hop up parts until you need them. Might as well used the stock pieces until they brake :)
