Hey guys, I’m buying a used Losi buggy for 150 in great shape. It’s a roller, and I will have an extra esc once I sell another car (gotta make room!) I don’t think I should run a reverse rotation 21t, so what brushed motors would y’all suggest? It uses the regular connections like on Traxxas, with an EC-3 connector. I am gonna run brushed till I save for a reedy brushless. Gonna run a 2s lipo. It says minimum 12t for 2s. It’s currently on the car being sold.

If this is a crawler, I would look at Holmes Hobbies. Rock buggy I dunno, but something a bit more speed. They have recommendations on this page you can check out. They are good about getting back to you if you email them too.

But in both cases the ESC is going to make a difference. The HW 1080 is a good for crawling.

But why not go brushless? I'm running a HW fusion in my TRX4 and it's got low speed control and dang near will do a wheelie too.

So I’m selling the car that the esc is in now as a rolller to my local hobby shop and buying the buggy from them. My TRX-4 does wheelies and all the fun stuff of brushed. I’m trying not to spend an insane amount of money, so I’m using what I own already. One day I’m gonna go with a reedy brushless, but I’m gonna start with just a car first. Plus I need a lipo.

That's a good plan.

I'd look at the Holmes then. He makes good stuff and it's affordable
