Hi all

So this is the current state of my TRX-4. Think I have struck a good balance in terms of performance and weight distribution now. Upgrades as follows:

Chassis upgrades
  • Brass outer portal housings front and rear
  • Brass diff covers front and rear

Do you see a noticable difference in performance?
It's a different world. RPM matching with the AXE ensures that it keeps going at the same speed with the same throttle input no mater the incline. Furthermore the precision of which you can control the speed is much much better than stock brushed, and I can go way slower now, while keeping the same or better top speed.

The system is actually a bit too powerful to my liking, but that's an easy fix by turning the max power down.

It has Bluetooth and everything can be controlled through the hobbywing app.

It's a win. Rather expensive though.
 
Just installed a couple of Yeah Racing axles and drive shafts. Haven't measured the original parts but should add +200 grams of unsprung weight.

The truck is almost done now. Need a couple of small details and most importantly some rear flood lights for when I reverse in the dark.
