So I want to buy a buggy because I have just about every other type of RC vehicle (monster trucks are my favorite ) but I dont want one that only starts with a bump starter cuz I dont want spend 125+ dollars just for a way to start one RC buggy. Seems like most buggies (and I get why, lower center of gravity and all that) are set up to be started with a bump starter. I'm not a racer, I'm strictly a basher, so I'm just wondering what are some suggestions for cool basher buggies that have a pull start, roto start, or even an EZ start type system cuz I can handle those! :)

Hmmmmmm.....a nitro buggy huh? Well pretty much 1/8th scale then. The Losi 8ight T comes to mind. It comes with a starter box but I believe it can be fitted with a roto start. How about a nitro truggy? My Losi Ten T is hard to beat. The onboard starting system is great and you start the engine with a button on the transmitter. Dead easy. The Ten T is only 1/10 scale though. It is really fast though and a lot of fun.

I already have a truggy, a muggy, 2 monster trucks, and a stadium truck...now I want a 1/8 or maybe a 1/10 scale buggy. the 8ight is a beast but i wasn't really looking to drop 700 bucks. So far I'm thinking something along the lines of the Losi 810 or the Ofna Hyper 7....any other suggestions?

Mine probably won't be well taken, then. I love the HPI Baja 5B. No it's not nitro, but the buggy can run run for 45 minutes on a tank of gas. Running for a long weekend like this is less than $20 including 2-cycle oil. I bought mine used for about $600.

Usually, any 1/8th buggys are usually started with a starter box. All the one's I have seen have been setup that way, but there are some with pull starts which the 810 has. Both of the buggys you mentioned, the Losi and the OFNA are nice. I have seen them run and they appear to be tough and quality built. I'll bet you can get better parts support for the Losi 810 though. The engine is the same one that comes with my Ten T and the chassis is almost exactly the same but lacks the R.O.S.S. system and is slightly bigger. I don't think you can go wrong with this buggy.
