Well I have the buggy bug. I am in the need for a buggy. I have read many post on here today and previous times. I did the all famous "BEST BUGGY" search. I have come up with a list of what I am currently looking at buying, but I am not too sure where to buy. my LHS adds $100 to the prices, so I am not geting one there, too damn expensive.

I am look for something that does not have to be hopped up right away, and something durable, for bashing, minimal racing. I still want it to be fast though.

My list narrowed down:
Lightning Pro
GS Storm
Ofna 9.5 Pro
Ofna Hyper 7 Pro
Mugen MBX5
Kyosho INferno MP 7.5

I looked on Tower Hobbies, and I want to look a couple other places where to buy. Ebay does not have much.

Also whcih these buggies I know it is going to come down to price. The Lightning looks good, but what radio should I get? I have no other radios, and I want something that I can use on my NTC3 and this buggy. Which kind of servos?
I have no experience in the Radio choices, so it is all greek to me.
Some help will be appreciated.

Thanx
James

I say get the mugen MBX5 or the Kyosho INferno MP 7.5. They r both great choice but it realy comes downt to how much $ you will spend?

i know about the buggies, I am looking over all the little specs right now, and I was wondering which FM radio and servos I should get? This is my weak spot, I need one that will work on 2 cars.... NTC3 and the new buggy.

Ofna 9.5 Pro
Ofna Hyper 7 Pro=low budget but still decent!

Mugen MBX5
Kyosho INferno MP 7.5= Big bucks! Top of the line buggys!

Lightning Pro
GS Storm=mid range budget and very well built, best bang for the buck!

Radio---- Hitec LYNX 3D or JRX3

all above is only my opinion!

I've had great luck with my Lightning. If you get one, get the Pro model, not the RTR. As far as a radio, get an FM unit. Doesn't matter much which one (as long as it's multi-model), go for the one that best fits your hand and budget. Bottom line servos? Hitec 645 for the steering and 625 for the throttle. A sweet radio setup would be an Airtronics M8 with a 358 steerig servo and 357/360 throttle servo. The Lightning comes with an engine, but if you're serious about racing, sell it as new on Ebay for $100ish and get yourself a Novarossi or RB.

I am currently selling my GS Storm, look in the for sale threads, gerat price with extras aswell

Where is the best place to buy. I only know of towerhobbies.com, and that is where i bought my NTC3 from.

Where does everyone buy from?

I try to buy all kits from a LHS. Even though you pay a tad more I have found they support it 110% when I have a question or a problem. Rare parts and hop-ups I do the online thing.

ohh kewl, I will check out my LHS out tomorrow.
I am finaly done with finals. it is time for RC fun!!!!!!!!!!
  :marshall:

hahahahahhaha AAAA hahahahaha AAAAA hahahaha ....
hehhahehahhehahheha

I cannot help it.....
I went to my LHS today. I went to find out about the buggies they carry and which ones they support...
Well it goes to find out that the only ones they promote are OFNA's they have a Hyper 7 for $650 sitting out, am radio, and a .21 engine, I could not get the specs of the engine from the guy. $650 is for preassembled radio, and engine, & servos.

They also had a Ultra LX Pro sitting out for $499, I asked which would be best starting out in 1/8th, he said the Hyper 7. I asked if they cary any Lightning Pro's, he said "NO, we dont carry hot body poop.., too hard to get parts for and plus they are crap." I could tell I was not going to get anywhere with him. I left the store in dismay. I am not closer to my purchase, but I did find out a bit of info. my LHS is not the one where I am going to throw my money.

TOWERHOBBIES ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!
or anyother place that is cool.
If you guys can make any comments on the list of cars I posted, dont bash, I want to find out what is good for a newbie to buggies.

Thanx:wasted:
