Brushless rips it up for the first 50 seconds then slows to stop.

I think so, even with the nicd it rips the tires at will ,so yeah the 2s 5200mah 50c will be a good fit, thanks for your knowledge.
Back to your original problem. Is the LiPo new? Does your charger read IR's (internal cell risistance) of the battery? I am guessing it does not. It could very well be if the LiPo is old, it could have severe voltage sag, due to having high IR's. Voltage sag is like, the battery has 14.6v when doing nothing, but when you give it throttle, the voltage falls and isn't enough to power the ESC above it's low voltage cutoff. This is a sure sign your LiPo is garbage and could be about to burst into flames under heavy load.

Think of voltage sag and high internal resistance as water running through a hose with an on off valve on the end (your throttle trigger). Now pinch the hose somewhere so the water can't flow very well (high internal resistance). When at rest, the hose builds up pressure (voltage). As soon as you open the nozzle, the pressure pushes the water out as normal, at first. But once that pressure is relieved, the pinch (resistance) won't allow the same volume (amperage) of water to flow.

Oh, i gotcha, wow that sure sounds like what's going on, the battery only has one charge on it and it is currently at 10.7 volts of that first charge, but, the last time I used it I was driving this redcat with the same brushless motor and a cheaper esc that obviously couldn't take voltage or the demand of the engine and just went up in smoke, I will see what the cell resistance is, crap, I probably ruined it when the old esc went up in smoke, I'll test it later and get back with you, thankyou very much!

Not sure if OPs charger has a IR reader. Used to have that same charger years ago. Good charger at the time lol.

10.7v on a 7 cell nimh sounds right. 1.5v times 7 is 10.5 so. During a charge they can usually bump up to over 11v ish but after it comes off the charger it will come down and rest around 10.5 usually. From my experience.

10.7 on a full charge?
No, full charge was 12.9, the battery voltage only went down to 10.7 after the truck had been driven a while and during that time my esc couldn't handle the stress and sent out a big smoke signal from the wagon burner, aka,redcat.haha.

ah man you laughing at my old charger, yeah it's old like me and you're right I looked and can't find an IR reader.

11.1 3s lipo
You mean 12.6v right? 12.9v is an overcharged 3s LiPo - and that's some SCARY CHIT right thar, if that's the case. And that would surely explain your problem. The battery may be ready to say "SEE YA!", and "Say goodbye to your RC".

Wait, this is outdated?
I use the single version of this!!! 🤣
When I buy good batteries, I'm gonna buy a good charger.

Kinda. Lol
It was a good charger back in the day. When high charge rates and getting IRs at the lowest weren't popular yet. Ie early to mid 2010s lol. Well from my experience
Its newer than all the cars in my driveway and most of my RC's! Its hardly even broken in!!! 🤣
