I'm wondering how the Raminator will handle a brushless system. How the tranny and diffs would hold up and such. What would you guys recommend? I seen a lipo battery/charger combo on flea bay for under $30 bucks and a sidewinder esc/motor combo for around $90. I didn't pay to much attention to the specs on either because I wanted to get some recommendations first. Then I can add up the total cost and know what to expect to spend. When I know what I need and how much it will cost, I can work on the hard part of getting it here without you know who finding out. Thanks as always. I have the stock 1100 nimh and a dynamite 1500 nimh on its way. I could probably live with these power sources for now. I'm pretty happy with my b.l. rusty on nimh power. This mini project might be a good introduction to lipo, though. EDIT: Think I'm going to go for the Hobbywing system. 12t motor and esc that can handle 3s, 9 cell nimh. Any info on this would be handy.

Is this the mini or the micro? I have the Micro Desert Truck and I changed out the dog bones for CVDs. That seemed to be the only necessary upgrade to me at the time.

1/18. It has a center diff in the tranny, too. I figure I can keep it alive with the slipper clutch for a while.

I would say that there shouldn't be any mods really needed if the Micro DT is any indication.
