Looks like there are two versions, BL-2S and VXL (4S) - 2S comes with a slipper, 4S comes with a center diff.

I really doubt Traxxas thinks the Jato 4x4 is going to take over the racing market, but racing certainly needs something, it has been steadily shrinking for a long time...

idk man that 4x4 vxl link is pretty aimed at people looking to get in to racing. Which I'm all for getting new people to the track! Of course it won't be a competitive platform, but it's another first in the fight. And Traxxas isn't necessarily a company that is known to play well with other companies.

Agreed, racing is on life support to put it optimistically 😅
 
The big problem is it quickly becomes a money game... If you want to win, you have to spend. ;)
Meh to an extent. I could give one of our top local guys a 3s Typhon with decent tires and he'd still be putting laps on me 😂
