hey, i started running in my car it was sunny and good conditions. 3 days later it's stopped raining. since i only got up to my third tank I'm worried that I've srcewed my break in I'm a newbie so i dont know. so any info will be awesome
thanks
Matt

a better description of exactly what you have done so far will help greatly.

ok, well first tank i went through idling as with second, third tank i used a little bit of throttle.
thanks
Matt

I still don't get it. You ran 3 tanks through and then it rained... You don't have to do break-in all in one sitting. You just need to continue where you left off.

Agreed. Took me 5 weeks to finally break in my Savage and yes, it runs great now.

It's always a good idea to make sure the piston is at BDC during the cool down between break-in tanks. You should have no problems with your break-in though.

oh sorry i didnt know that. i was freaking out cause it ran to rich and so i empty all this syrup stuff from the exhaust then i had to get the engine off cause it ceased and yeah i was stressing. thanks for that guys
Matt

Did it hydro lock on you? Normally, you can just jank out the glow plug and pull the start a few times with the vehicle upside down. Doing this will blow out the excess fuel.

The syrup is just the oil from the fuel. During break in, this is very normal. Once you start getting the RPM's up, it will blow the oil out on it's own.

not ceased.. but rather stuck at the pinch.. at TDC.. when you stop your car.. and turn off the engine.. it is good practice.. to reach under the car.. and turn the flywheel to bottom dead center... so when the car cools.. and the sleeve cools.. it will tighten up.. and not have the piston up at the top..
