That is complete bullsh- woops... not FFA. Ebay took it off because it was not offered by an official foundation. I can't believe they would do that, even if the guy was just SAYING he was gonna donate the money.

but that would be totally unfair to the people that bid on it if he did just keep the money himself. Maybe they have relatives and friends down south, and they were giving it to them...

I don't blame them for taking it down. It's difficult in that environment to verify the credibility of that auction. So they have no way to ensure the money goes to charity. Ultimately they'd end up partially liable if that money disappeared. Hopefully there will be more money raised to help. I myself just get very pissed and disgusted when I see assbags with no scruples trying to profit from this kind of disaster. I hope this auction wasn't an attempt at that.
