Hey dudes. I own an RC10GT and i hopped it up bla bla bla. Well anyway, i have a 360 Stinger kit on it. Well i bought an O.S. .15 CV Hyper w/10A Slide-Valve Carb, and i wanted to break it in. Now my question is do i break it in w/ the stinger or do i buy some crap composite HPI exhaust just to break it in? Thanks

the exhaust u have should have no detrimental effect on the break in process. Go ahead and break it in as you normally would.

So the oil does not gather up in the engine at all? Being that i break it in rich, usually the oil settles to the bottom of the exhaust. Since the exhaust is a 360 stinger, the lowest point is the engine. So it should all go well huh? Just as a normal break in. anyone else?

even though the lowest part of the setup is now the engine, u should still have no problem, as the combustion force will keep the engine free.

actually the stinger does have an affect when u are breaking in an engine with it. when u break the engine in it is almost always run really rich, and with how the design of the stinger pipe is made it dont let all of the exhaust out. so when i had gotten new engines for my maxx i would go and put the stock pipe back on and then after break in i would put the stinger back on.

So the quality of the "stock" exhaust does not matter on the overall break in? Like would a better pipe break the engine in better? and would a cheap 10$ pipe not get the full potential from the engine?

all u need is a pipe that works really for the break-in, dont go out and buy a $50 pipe just for break-in. i got about 5 stock pipes laying around from when i did the break-ins
