Hi Everyone,
I just picked up a Kyosho Blizzard 2.0 RTR.
The 2 Motors are the stock BL64B KYOBL64B Brushed 370 Motors. I have been researching upgrading to a brushless system, updating the Esc's and thinking installing the biggest Lipo 3S that fits in it for good fun. 5200? Or a 2S? Difference? Run time?
As far as motors go I am so at a loss for what to put in vs whats available. Youtube is full of videos of upgrades on motors I can no longer find available, and the choices are massive. That and I'm looking for something that bolts on, uses the stock drive sprokets, that I don't have to modify the chassis for them to fit.
I placed the ask here because Being a Blizzard I would like the control of a brushless motor to do crawling. (And zoom around too for the pooch).
What I kinda know is I should be between 2500kv to 3000kv. This should give me the performance, and better efficiency than brushed. brushless motors are sensored or not. The sensored ones are longer and can interfere with the front plow servo arm, so probably unsensored for all the clearances I need. Then a esc to work with it without modifying all the electronics.
I dont know if the output shaft is 2mm or 3.175. I dont know if a 2826 or 2430, 16BL30's fits. Redcat 380's Hobbywing 1080 outrunners aelion esc's?
Robitronic Razer 10 50A Hobbywing 3650 13, 5 turn 2850kv. Traxxas latrax270, Hobbyking 17 turn 3600kv 35A esc 1/16 scale.
Mamba 25 2S? 380 Durtrax 290 Banebot ez runs 2215 Fusion mini 16.
3 Days on the internet and my eyes are about to fall out from all the research.
I'm all at a loss. I'm in Canada, and would like to upgrade the above on a budget, minimum of modification, upgrade the control and performance. Then play in the snowbanks in the winter, and sand/grass in the summer.
