I didn't really see anything that fit this so yeah, I thought I'll start something.
I know it's an RC forum but we have all dealt with real life situations, on or off the track, and on or off the rocks.
Anyone ever deal with bullying at work with adults? I'm in my forties and I thought I left this stuff behind but infact, I have not.
I joined an organization that rents commercial space from another organization, we run educational programs at the same time under the same roof under different banners. They own the facility.
Their staff can be for a lack of a better word, crude. They make racist jokes, joke about income or income disparity, they poke fun at your physical appearance. Not constantly, but at any time a situation can go sideways.
A discussion, a light hearted joke which is then met in return with a personal attack, etc.
I feel like I have reached my breaking point with it.
It's hard because I enjoy the creative things I get to do along with the income. But the mental health impact is undeniable.
I am contemplating submitting my resignation as I don't see things improving. This behavior is seemingly condoned by the top who part take (CEO).
Opinions?
