whats the biggest engine that can drop into my rs4 without having to worry too much about breaking stuff all the time? it already has a 2 speed and stuff so what mill would make it go

I beleive that a small block .15 is the biggest. If that's the case maybe even the OS .18 can fit since it too is a small block. The reason I say that is because the OS .18 is a direct drop in for the NTC3 as well.

There is also the RB 15 that is putting out more rpm than the 18 version

hpi 18 ss 1.5 hp 40 000 rpm.

18's are the biggest engine's the rs4 wil fit.
18 doesn't always mean the most power tho.

.18 is the biggest, but if you want power you gotta go Italian! Novarossi NS12S3, it'd eat any .18 for breakfast!

sirio tx .18 with standard crank. 1.9 claimed hp and 40k rpm, and I'm willing to bet it comes damn near to that claimed power level. thats probably the most power you can bolt right in no mods for an rs-4. seeing how a sirio .18 pushed my t-maxx around i dont know how much an stock rs4 drivetrain will like it though.

the biggest you can fit is a .26/.27/.28 if you get the wolfpack mounts but you will have to make sure to have a strong drivetrain because the stock divetrain wouldnt handle it.

nitro13,

Yea i was gonna say you can get the wolf pack conversion kit and put a .21 in there. Hopefully you are not belt driven lol
