Its 1/10th scale. Stampede or "Hoss" chassis. Is this a similar or the same size as the new mini max..?
Length x width x heightIs this a similar or the same size as the new mini max..?
it's just a stampede 4x4 with new wheels, stampede tires and a Bigfoot body. so yeah, it's going to look stupid. where as the 2wd doesn't look that bad, very monster truck like. if memory serves they even used black plastics on the chassis for it.Looks kinda cheap and cheesy, and not scale whatsoever. The Bigfoot name should have never been put on this thing.
EDIT: Just to be clear, monster trucks have tube frames and solid axles.
Traxxas used black plastic and color specific pieces for the 2wd Bigfoot. It's crazy how much better a body and wheels can make the 2wd Pede look.. where as the 2wd doesn't look that bad, very monster truck like. if memory serves they even used black plastics on the chassis for it.
Don't forget the curly tail on that vette!thanks for reminding me how much i dislike trophy truck body's on monster trucks. thank god that trend seems to be over. I'm seriously thinking of using an HPI Jumpshot MT and a JConcepts body to make my own Bigfoot.
i ever build a stampede its getting a pink Corvette body
if memory serves, the original Monster Jam trucks they did used those same tires and, nope, no foam in the tires. it was one of the things people actually complained about on those trucks.I got a set of those Monster Jam tires for my Stampede 4x4 years ago, and still have them. They are "fun" tires I suppose, but not objectively good tires. I don't think that they actually have foam in them at all, or if they do, it's very thin foam. They compress very easily compared to most other tires.
I personally prefer the Maxx 2.8" tires for the classic monster-truck look and tread-pattern: https://traxxas.com/products/parts/6771 They are the tires that used to come stock on some older versions of the Stampede. Surprisingly, they hold up well even with 4S power and 1/8th scale electronics and hardly even balloon at all compared to most tires.
