I bought a second XMaxx, with a Castle 800kv sensored motor and Mamba Monster 8S combo, ,,I'm wondering what would be the advantages of 800kv versus say 1100kv or more ?Also why sensored? Ok thanks ,old guy trying to figure it all out,LOL, have more questions 🙄 for later
Its a project ,,forgot to say

I personally would have put an 1100kV motor in it instead of an 800kV. That being said you can make up for the lack of kV by running larger pinions and smaller spur gears. Should be able to make it run about the same as an 1100kV.

Sensored just gives you buttery smooth motor control at lower speeds, especially when the trucks first starts moving. If I have the option I will always pick sensored everytime.

I would just run it, fantastic combo. If you need more speed there’s plenty of spur/pinion options for more. I don’t have an xmaxx so I’m not sure how it’s geared, maybe a 42-45 pinion...
