Nice build, I'm building a rock bouncer myself I will post pics, end of week

The freakin Treal bumper posts dont line up exactly with this Chinesium bumper mount. Ordered a different bumper mount so hopefully the bumper mounting holes line up properly with this one. Gonna take a week to get the new bumper mount.

Ok, so Betty has been laying on my workbench for months unfinished. I'm about to remedy that.

I bought a servo and servo mount from NSDRC. The servo has even more torque than the savox plus its all black so I ground the ears down in order to give it room to move around inside the frame rails. Had to ditch the NSDRC servo mount and go back to the Hot Racing one as its a couple mm to wide. The Servo mount and the servo kinda piss me off because they are labeled as being for the SCX24 but they only work if you use frame rails that are flat as opposed to the stock ones or you have some sort of mod that eliminates the frame rails from the very front of the kit. After some grinding off of the excess servo tabs she works good now and is a whopping 165oz/in and .06sec on 8.4V. A little dab from a black paint pen covers up the ground parts pretty well.

Getting closer to being done with her. Should have her up and running in the next couple of days. I had to 3D print some mounting plates for the Sidewinder Micro 2 ESC and a special plate to house the guts of a flysky RX since the case would have made the whole width to thick.

I built it more as a rock bouncer than a crawler. I put a bigger pinion on it and I'm hoping to fit a 3S battery in it. We shall see.

Well, let's see Betty Bounce!

Really nice looking build.
Soon! and Thanks. I think its got to be one of the more expensive SCX24s out there. I have 1/8 scale kits with less money in them 🤣

I believe the only original parts left on her at this point are the frame rails (thats only because it has the limited production number printed on it otherwise they would have been carbon fiber rails), The battery tray, The front body mount, and about half of the transmission. Now I'm going to have to build another SCX24 with all the left over parts lol

Is she going to have any oem parts left when your done besides the body? ;)
The body, battery tray, and the chassis rails are the only stock pieces left on it and the only reason the stock chassis rails are still on it are because they are numbered with the limited part run numbers. :)

Ok, Final batch of pictures followed by 2 videos. One video has some running footage but beware that I am not a crawler guy and I dont have much in the way of crawler terrain around my house soooooo it is what it is :)

Nice to see her finally completed. How are those shocks? They look a little stiff. I almost ordered a set for the Deadbox build.

Love the tow package 😉
