Have fun finding places that carry it. Not many places have them in stock. If you don't mind waiting for Tower to get them in stock, the $25 of ticket is the best deal you'll find for a NIB one. There is a list of people that have the on backorder through Tower...but Tower says they'll have them in stock by the end of January.

I'm still waiting for my LHS to get some in....none yet! (but I'm first on that list )

The price I get from Hobbyguyrc is actually cheaper than towers. I have a 10% discount code from them. (Loyal customer here )

well towerhobbies has them listed for $159.99 plus $25 off.....at my LHS they have one which is a return due to failed controller but I am not going to use the controller anyway...I will be using the M8....what price should I offer my LHS for the rc18 with a defective controll when they list it for $179.99....should I just tell them I will buy it for the towerhobby price or I will just wait for towerhobbies to get them back in stock???

Rustler, offer them $150 and see if they'll bite. That seems like a fair price for a blown esc.
I paid $150 for my 18t, and I can honestly say that I could have paid $50 more for the truck and still been very happy. This truck rocks.

they bit and I now have a RC18T with Mamba Brushless (8000Kv motor) and a couple Li-poly batteries (1 7.4v 1900 Mah and a 11.1v 2450Mah battery)....thing screams all over the place.
