What does it say when the batteries are low? I have the new one too and it works fine.
i don't have any fail-safe yet, but when the batteries are low i think the led starts to blink, hold on a second, i'll check the website though.
nope, safe mode is blinking red, when any thing happens, batteries low, radio interference, loss of signal, or any other thing. The LED is solid red.
So to answer your question, the LED turns solid red when the batteries are low

I have an ofna failsafe on my RC10GT, and it works, but it always says the batteries are low, even when its a full charge and my volt meter says they are full, so i am going to give the venom one a try.
I have one question for you, do you run rechargable batteries in your rx, if you do, rechargable batteries' voltage is 1.3v per battery/cell. So if you add up 4, the voltage may dip below the lowest allowed by the failsafe (4.5 i think)
Just a thought, I hope it helps!
