I know that this has prob been asked but what in your opinion is the best buggy on the market for the least $$$$$$. I'm just starting out and don't have alot of dough to play around with. Like most men i'm on a tight leash (wife) thanks for the help guys

no dura trash. buy an ofna. pcr or pbs. if you go cheap your going to get cheap.ill repeat no duratrassh...just my two cents

I second the ofnas but also look around for a HB Pro 1. That is what I got first and it was a great buggy to start with! They just came out with the pro2 so it is getting hard to find the 1.

well zandor you fail to see my true meaning. Not a knock on you VB but when your title says Best Buggy and then you say you have a tight budget my answer well here is a cheap buggy as the best ones are expensive because they are way better than the rest:cheers:

Do what I do, have a bank account for you and then a bank account for the both of you. There's also the yours, mine and ours bank acounts. Honestly, that's what I do. Keeps from having a lot of fights. At least that way, when you save for something you want, at least you're not touching the budget.

i get you humbolt.and see what your saying. vb you should look at saving some more money.that way your not spending money on a ride that you will be un happy with.what i was trying to say is that if you buy cheap you get cheap.and wind up spending money to make it better.thats money you could have spent on a better ride. so save you $ and get a good rc. and go from there

ok......if i were to save my $$$ and get a top notch ride what would be the best?

The GS Avenger seems to look real nice to me. The Storm is another good one because of what I've put it threw. K1,K2,K3s are the best IMO.

I'm siding with almost everyone when I say NO DURATRAX

My Storm(Stock at the time) had a head on collision with a Duratrax Axis. End results...my header was muffler was disconnect tot he pipe, his damage was a lil diffrent. Tacoed the frame up, bend many supports, readjusted the hell out the exhaust, it was crazy, lol.

Thats an 80%, meaning you would still need radio and servos, If thats what you want then go for it, Are you looking for something low budget with a radio(rtr)? If you can spend $300 now, then I would wait and save for a better buggy, Low budget buggies become high maintnence head aches!

wErd...believe the above guys when they say you should wait and save your money for a better ride...I know it sucks but in the long run it will save you more money if you wait and step up to a higher quality ride with a better build.

Amen. If you can't afford a fresh one, keep your eye on ebay for a month. If you can't pick a nice kanai off ebay, you can't do much at all.

IMO kyosho makes the best in the business, and any of the kanai editions, will be a kit for life.

The second hand ones - most of the parts are wonderful in the kits, so if you don't mind the "used" factor itself, rest assured that you would get away with replacing maybe a handful of cheap bits on a used kit, and having something just as good as a new one.

Thats my opinion anyway - waiting and saving is a pain, but so is having a second rate product - so with a used kit, you can have your cake and eat it too.

Everyone here seems to chat up the Kanai series like they are the be all and end all. I have an Mugen Seiki MBX-5. I think it will hold its own with any of the Kanai series and perhaps stomp a mudhole in some of them.

Either way, do not let the pricetag be your guide. Do some research (this is a great start) and then choose one that you think will meet your needs.

Yup, worth repeating.......sve up and get what you want. As good as it might feel to win with a Kanai, it feels even better to beat one with something that costs WAY less. GO STORM !!!

Second that. I think the storm is great value for money. Will get an Avenger when they are out.

Everybody said kyosho kanai...what about the kanai sport? I hate asking these questions, but when you don't know you just odn't know
