Bending the Engine Control Linkage?

I was wondering if it was okay to since it tends to hit the antenna wire a lot. Its not gonna be like a full 90 degree bend just like a 25 degree or something.

you can bend the wire to fit your rig, as long as it moves freely you should be fine. you will have to make sure the carb closes completly when your done bending it though.

depends... what rig is this for?

I ask because if you do, you need to be able to still have enough strength to hold the brakes and open the carb.

It's for my MTX-3. I'm pretty sure I don't need to do anything with the brakes or the carb, it's just the Engine Control Linkage or the servo saver. I hope I didn't get all of you confused.

If it is the wire linkage in between the servo and the carb lever/slide, it does have to do with it. Changing thiss affects how much strength the servo is limited to.

Mine doesn't connect to the carb though. There's a seperate arm that comes out for the servo saver.

I am going to need a pic of this. I am sure you know what you are trying to say but for everyone, a pics would be nice. The Throttle/Brake linkage is pretty common...

When you throttle, the antenna tube is popping out of the hole its planted in.

thats gonna be a tough one, the wire has to be able to slide where its connected to the servo horn so you can't bend it there.

maybe a shorter servo horn will work. but you have to make sure you still have enough movement to open and close the carb, and apply the brakes.

Try placing a plastic washer or a metal one that will not create any glitches as it slides back and forth.. That should fix it if it is being pushed throught the cam lever.
