Okay, got it all assembled with little tragedy. Only lost one washer, and that was to hold the support for the wing, so no biggee. Took awhile to figure out the engine mount and carb position, but once I figured it out, it was a piece of cake. Basically, at least on the O.S. V-Spec, you have to flip the carb around. Last thing to do is glue the tires and add a batt pack.

Here is what I am running:

O.S. V-Spec motor
O.S. 2050 pipe
Stock clutch
Pro-Line Knuckles 2.0 tires
50/30 on shock weights, F/R
3k/5k/3k for diffs
2 645 MG servos (will be upgraded later to faster ones as I get used to it)
Airtronics synth Rx
Airtronics MX3-S Tx

First, what flat pack do you guys recommend as far as mah? I have seen as much as 2300 stuffed into these packs.

Second, did I miss anything? Any new or missed tips?

if you can get a lithium to fit i would go that way, I've been running mine now for a year , maybe 2 and love em, they last for ages and a relatively no maintanance

I looked at a few LiPo batteries but they seemed like they were a little off of what the dimensions are of a standard 5 cell, 6v flat pack.

as long as you can get them in width ways is the problem, most lthiums are just slightly wider than a flat pack but only by about 5 mll, which is a bugger if you have to run a flat pack

just a basic 1200 here. I have a feeling I'm gonna need another one, maybe two more once I get into racing. Digital servo's are definately pullin on it hard.

Well, I went out and got a 1400 mah one. Highest I could find locally. Went to 4 different stores. Also picked up a fuel filter (I know one is already in the tank but this is external so it can be changed and cleaned) plus I picked up a better starter box and a battery for that as well. Also, a switch for the Rx box and some P3 glow plugs as spares for the O.S. V-Spec. I think I am set now.

Two options: 1. I'm presently using a battery pack from a Revo, picked it up NIB w/ quick charger for $17.00 shipped to my door off Ebay, fits perfectly. So far that battery has done very well in my Revo's, we'll see how it holds up, I'm running a JR 8611 steering and a JR Z590 throttle. Motor is a Crono RS3 w/a JP1 pipe & header. I've got some secret custom tires too!
2. Ofna just came out with a fancy fuel filter/primer. It actually has a real filter inside, not the cheasy screen. I'm trying it,I'll let you know how I like it. Should be nice not to have to cover the pipe anymore to prime it, just give it a few squeezes.
I'm also trying out the Bluebired hi-torque/hi-speed servo, we'll see how it hold up.

I just picked it up, looks pretty stout. Smoke/trannsparent body so you can see the metal gears. I guess they do that so you can see which one broke first!LOL. I'll keep you up to speed.
