Battery Pack

Just wondering - I have a Nosram 7.2v 6 cell pack. If i have used it one day but have not completley run it out i don't know wether i can charge it or wether i have to completley run it out before charging.

Is it a Nicad or NmH?
Ni-cads should be fully discharged before re-charging.
NmH doesn't matter.

Its a NiCd (unfortunatley) - Suppose i could get two, one can always be kept charged so i won't get dissapointed when it comes to starting my car.
